Causes of corner burrs:
When cutting stainless steel and iron plates, straight-line cutting usually does not cause problems, but burrs are easily generated at corners. This is because the cutting speed at the corners changes. When the laser of the fiber laser gas cutting machine passes through a right angle, the speed will slow down first, and the speed will be zero when it reaches the right angle, and then accelerate to normal speed. There will be a slow area in this process. As the speed slows down and the power remains constant (for example, 3000 watts), this will cause the plate to overburn, resulting in burrs. The same principle applies to arc corners. If the arc is too small, the speed will also slow down, resulting in burrs.
Solution
Speed up the corner speed
The factors that affect the corner speed are as follows:
Curve control accuracy: This value can be set in the global parameters. The larger the value, the worse the curve accuracy and the faster the speed, and this value needs to be increased.
Corner control accuracy: For the parameters of the corner, you also need to increase its value to increase the corner speed.
Processing acceleration: The larger this value is, the faster the acceleration and deceleration of the corner, and the shorter the time the machine stays at the corner, so you need to increase this value.
Processing low-pass frequency: Its meaning is the frequency of suppressing machine vibration. The smaller the value, the more obvious the vibration suppression effect, but it will make the acceleration and deceleration time longer. In order to speed up the acceleration, you need to increase this value.
By adjusting these four parameters, you can effectively increase the cutting speed of the corner.
Reduce corner power
When reducing the corner power, you need to use the power curve function. First, check the real-time power adjustment, and then click the curve edit. Select the smoothing method in the lower left corner to ensure a smooth transition of the curve. The points in the curve can be adjusted by dragging, double-clicking the curve to add points, and clicking the upper left corner to delete points. The upper part indicates the power, and the lower part indicates the speed percentage.
If there are many burrs in the corner, you can reduce the power by lowering the position of the left point. But note that if it is reduced too much, it may cause the corner to not be cut through. At this time, you need to appropriately increase the position of the left point. Just understand the relationship between speed and power and set the curve.
