As a major cutting tool in sheet metal processing, the application of metal laser cutting machine equipment has brought better cutting effects to customers. With long-term use, metal laser cutting machines will inevitably have large and small faults. To reduce the occurrence of faults, users need to perform corresponding maintenance work on the equipment more often.
The main parts that need to be maintained on a daily basis are the cooling system (to ensure constant temperature effect), dust removal system (to ensure dust removal effect), optical path system (to ensure beam quality), and transmission system (focus on ensuring normal operation). In addition, a good working environment and correct operating habits are also conducive to extending the service life of the equipment.
So, how to do the usual maintenance of metal laser cutting machines?
Cooling system maintenance
The water inside the water cooler needs to be replaced regularly, and the general replacement frequency is one week. The water quality and water temperature of the circulating water directly affect the service life of the laser tube. It is recommended to use pure water or distilled water and keep the water temperature below 35°C. If the water is not changed for a long time, it is easy to form scale, thereby blocking the waterway, so it is necessary to change the water regularly.
Second, keep the water flow unobstructed at all times. The cooling water is responsible for taking away the heat generated by the laser tube. The higher the water temperature, the lower the light output power (15-20℃ water temperature is preferred); when the water is cut off, the heat accumulated in the laser cavity will cause the tube end to burst, and even damage the laser power supply. Therefore, it is very necessary to check whether the cooling water is unobstructed at any time. When the water pipe has a hard bend (dead bend) or falls off, and the water pump fails, it must be repaired in time to avoid power drop or even equipment damage.
Dust removal system maintenance
After long-term use, the fan will accumulate a lot of dust, which will affect the exhaust and deodorization effects, and will also generate noise. When it is found that the fan has insufficient suction and smoke exhaust is not smooth, first turn off the power, remove the air inlet and outlet pipes on the fan, remove the dust inside, then turn the fan upside down, move the fan blades inside until it is clean, and then install the fan. Fan maintenance cycle: about one month.
After the machine has been working for a period of time, a layer of dust will stick to the surface of the lens due to the working environment, thereby reducing the reflectivity of the reflective lens and the transmittance of the lens, and ultimately affecting the working power of the laser. At this time, use cotton wool dipped in ethanol to carefully wipe the lens in a rotating manner from the center to the edge. The lens should be wiped gently without damaging the surface coating; the wiping process should be handled with care to prevent it from falling; when installing the focusing lens, please be sure to keep the concave surface downward. In addition, try to reduce the number of ultra-high-speed perforations as much as possible. Using conventional perforations can extend the service life of the focusing lens.
Transmission system maintenance
The equipment will produce smoke and dust during the long-term cutting process. Fine smoke and dust will enter the equipment through the dust cover and adhere to the guide rack. Long-term accumulation will increase the wear of the guide rack. The rack guide is a relatively precise accessory. Dust is deposited on the surface of the guide rail and linear axis for a long time, which has a great impact on the processing accuracy of the equipment, and will form corrosion points on the surface of the guide rail and linear axis, shortening the service life of the equipment. Therefore, in order to make the equipment work normally and stably and ensure the processing quality of the product, it is necessary to carefully perform daily maintenance of the guide rail and linear axis, and regularly remove dust and clean them. After cleaning the dust, butter should be applied to the rack and lubricated with lubricating oil on the guide rail. Each bearing should also be oiled regularly to maintain flexible driving, precise processing and extend the service life of the machine tool.
The environment of the workshop should be kept dry and well ventilated, with an ambient temperature of 4℃-33℃. Pay attention to preventing condensation of equipment in summer and antifreeze of laser equipment in winter.
The equipment should be kept away from electrical equipment that is sensitive to electromagnetic interference to prevent the equipment from being subjected to electromagnetic interference for a long time. Stay away from sudden large-power interference from large-power and strong vibration equipment. Large-power interference sometimes causes machine failure. Although it is rare, it should be avoided as much as possible.
Scientific and orderly maintenance can effectively avoid some minor problems in the use of laser cutting machines, effectively improve the performance and service life of some accessories, and invisibly improve work efficiency.
