Fiber laser cutting machine anti-freeze principle is to make the machine in the anti-freeze coolant does not reach the freezing point, and thus do not freeze, to play the machine’s anti-freeze effect.Liquids have a “freezing point”, when the temperature of the liquid is lower than the “freezing point” temperature, it will solidify into a solid, while the volume of deionized water or pure water will become larger during the solidification process, which will “broke” the pipes of the water cooling system. The connection between the road and the seal causes damage to the equipment. In order to avoid the damage of the laser, QBH output head, and water cooler caused by the solidification of the cooling liquid, there are three main solutions:

1. Under the condition that the factory will never lose power, the water chiller will not be turned off at night. At the same time, in order to save electricity, the temperature of low and normal temperature water is adjusted to 5~10℃ to ensure that the coolant is in a circulating state and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.

2. After the fiber laser is used every day, drain the laser, QBH output head, and the cooling liquid in the water cooler.

3. Use antifreeze as coolant.

When the ambient temperature of the equipment is between -10°C and 0°C, and the laser does not have the conditions to drain the coolant every day, antifreeze must be used. When selecting or mixing antifreeze, its freezing point should be 5°C lower than the minimum temperature of the environment in which it is used. When the ambient temperature of the equipment is lower than -10°C, a dual system (with heating function at the same time) water chiller must be used, and the uninterrupted operation of the cooling system must be ensured.

1. Use ethanol for short-term antifreeze

If the cooling water cannot be drained and temporary short-term antifreeze is required, ethanol (alcohol) can be added to deionized or purified water. The addition amount cannot exceed 30% of the volume of the water tank. Because ethanol is very corrosive, it is very corrosive to paint and metal parts. , The rubber parts are corroded, so it cannot be used for a long time. It must be emptied and cleaned with pure water or deionized water within one month. If there are still antifreeze requirements, special antifreeze must be selected.

2. Use special antifreeze of professional brand

1) AntifrogenN ethylene glycol-water type (industrial products, toxic to humans)

2) AntifrogenL Propylene glycol-water type (food grade, harmless to humans)

Note: Any antifreeze can not completely replace deionized water and cannot be used for a long time throughout the year. After winter, the pipelines must be cleaned with deionized water or purified water, and deionized water or purified water must be used as the coolant.
